The Balrog

by Greg and Tim Hildebrandt

A winged, fiery Balrog raises its whip on a stone bridge as a white-robed wizard stands against it in a burst of flame, with a dwarf and other companions behind him. It is believed to come from the 1977 Tolkien Calendar.
