What I know of Dragons, and their Abilities.
Here, I will just rant on about my thoughts on dragons, types, how most feel, relations to us, abilities, and magic of them.
First off, If Dragons exist, there is not just one type and all others don't exist, I believe there are Serpent like ones, the common western ones[Not monsters, look similar but are civil], and many others between that are similar to one or the other. Chinese Dragons, from my perspective, are more of a symbol, the mix of many different animals, but still shows freedom that dragons have[will continue on this later]. Some may grow to be very large, and some be smaller as well. And each dragons looks different in ways, just like humans, they can have many variables in look, size, abilities, etc. One other thing I want to touch on is common misperceptions. Currently, Many people view if Dragons were here, they would be monsters and destroy, while really, that is a way of covering up mankind's faults in a way. I think that monsters were created, like Satan, to cover all of Mankind's bad and horrible things we do, into one being. So it makes sense that westerners who see dragons for the first time start a trifle of stories in them acting along with Demons. And, the color of a dragon does not determine the mind of it, though it may lead to certain traits, Just like with people, They decided themselves who they are, so a Black Dragon could be gentle as ever, or a white dragon hanging around fire rather than ice. Now, with how dragons came across cultures all over, that is likely because in early days, they and other creatures wer among the earth with us, and they were the most noble of the ones, there to keep order. Dragons were likely kept to keep order with their nobel hearts, and there powerful abilities compared to all others on the earth at the time. They began trusting humans, taught them skills, and started leading the world on a good track. But, mankind, being easily shifted in wrong ways, had problems as it grew, many forgot some thing they were taught, and some were taught different and became killers and such. Along with this, dragons tried to continue good order all over, but only held good relations with man in certain areas, as they began to become more population than dragons, and spread to other lands. Along with forgetfulness, some began attacking Dragons, with this, some retaliated, and taught them a quick lesson. but doing so struck fear into many humans, and with that, they decided to come up with ways to kill Dragons, and with all of this, Some Dragons also over time, became different in heart. With this, the creator, I know as God[but no religions are completely correct on him], created the next world, for magic, Dragons, and other beings to stay, as to prevent this world from destroying itself. In China, many people their continued using the dragons knowledge, but still, over time, forgot some, and assorted the dragon into a symbol instead. While in different parts of the world, others assorted Dragons into different symbols or monsters, yet some remembered. Dragons, Have allot of involvement with magic, most can breath fire, but some use elemental abilities along with their bloodline. Some say, that Magic is directly linked to them, If all of them leave a place, the magic and ability to use it dries up, while if they come somewhere, magic becomes more plentiful. While, Many Dragons have traits like being more honorable in heart, caring, Love, and order. While they can also have other traits as well. Some, can be corrupted though, but it must be from veyr early in their life, for a dragon to become truly evil in heart, and even then, they can always break away from that, from love, or related emotions. A Dragon never forgets who it is, and it's own past, even as a egg, It will know of it's character, and it is nearly impossible to turn one completely and permanently evil.

Sorry it took so long to respond to this, but I have to ask: is this a serious post? I can't really tell. You posted this in the fantasy section, and mention magic, but talk as if you actually believe you're describing history. I need a little clarification on your intentions of this post before I can properly respond to it.

Well, it is what I would believe if Dragons were real, how they would work, and it is sort of for Story Ideas incase I ever take it up.

We don't have a rule for PMing links, and cannot be enforced so rather pointless having one.
Maybe a bit of clarification - links to general sources in the body of a post is ok as long as its not to other dragon forums in an attempt to lure members away. Links in a sig - you gota wait until 50 posts and get it approved... which at your rate DP will be in a little over 4 days lol

Links have been posted to games sites like that before yes? (At least what I'm thinking of people used to have eggs in the sigs and you had to click on them) If you did post a link just make sure you state what it is and where its going to. Some folks have occasionaally posted links hidden in words which is not allowed. (Like this Click Here) Note that link actually goes nowhere so perfectly safe to click on - but that could be anything which is waht I'm talking about.

Naw .... not a valley girl ... not even close! But the internet allows for re-characterizing yourself soooo easily! :P BWAHAAAHAAAA!
Oh the clickable eggs, I HATE those! We don't allow them on our game cuz people would just sign up to post their eggs (use our bandwidth) and never play the game. I also understand about the Text links. We do allow their use on our game, but only to link to different areas on our own site and not generally off-site. I actually had a guy link to a "less than desirable" site once, claiming it was a collectible interest of his. He didn't last long on the game! :P Okay, I shall give my response to secret person then with an appropriate and explained link! Thank you so much Razor, you make things so easy!  *sneaks off to find some zeros!!!!*
